BAKU: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has extended his congratulations to Andy Burnham on his appointment as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, expressing confidence in the continued development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a congratulatory message, President Aliyev conveyed his best wishes to Prime Minister Burnham on assuming office and expressed hope that the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom would continue to expand in areas of mutual interest.
The Azerbaijani president highlighted the importance of the partnership between the two nations, particularly in sectors such as energy, trade, investment and regional security.
