Shahid Afridi Voices Concern Over Karachi’s Deteriorating Condition, Urges Immediate Action

KARACHI: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating state of Karachi, saying he feels ashamed when witnessing the condition of the country’s largest city and economic hub.

Speaking during a recent interaction, Afridi lamented the worsening civic infrastructure, poor sanitation, and declining public services, stressing that Karachi deserves far better attention from the authorities. He emphasized that the city’s residents continue to face significant challenges despite Karachi’s vital contribution to Pakistan’s economy.
