Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD — Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the Houthi attacks targeting civilians and energy installations in Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people.

In a statement, the prime minister said the attacks had resulted in injuries to several people and posed a serious threat to innocent lives as well as regional peace and security.

Shehbaz Sharif conveyed solidarity with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia, reaffirming Pakistan’s continued support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attacks.

According to Saudi coalition forces, 73 people were injured in the Houthi attacks, including women and children. The attacks reportedly targeted the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Najran and Jazan.

He stressed that such attacks not only endanger civilian lives but also undermine regional peace and stability.
