LONDON: Meghan Markle, the wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, is reportedly in advanced discussions to join the cast of Netflix’s crime-comedy series “The Gentlemen,” created by British filmmaker Guy Ritchie, according to media reports.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Markle is being considered for a role in a potential third season of the series. However, reports indicate that the third season has not yet been officially renewed, meaning her involvement remains unconfirmed.

Markle, who rose to international prominence for her role as Rachel Zane in the television drama “Suits,” left acting after marrying Prince Harry in 2018. A return to the screen would mark a significant development in her entertainment career.

Neither Markle’s representatives nor Netflix immediately confirmed the reports or commented on the reported casting discussions.

“The Gentlemen,” created by Guy Ritchie and starring Theo James, follows an aristocrat who inherits a country estate and discovers that it is connected to a major criminal enterprise. The series premiered on Netflix in 2024, while its second season is scheduled for release in September 2026.
