SOCAR and ExxonMobil Review Energy Cooperation Progress at Baku Energy Week

BAKU: Senior officials of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and ExxonMobil Corporation (ExxonMobil Corporation) have reaffirmed their long-standing partnership in the energy sector during a meeting held on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week.

SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with John Ardill, Vice President of ExxonMobil Corporation, to review ongoing cooperation between the two companies and discuss developments under their existing Memorandum of Understanding.

During the meeting, both sides noted that their collaboration continues to advance successfully, highlighting the commencement of first free natural gas production from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block as a significant milestone in their shared energy projects.

The discussions also focused on progress achieved under the MoU signed between SOCAR and ExxonMobil, with both parties expressing commitment to further strengthening their strategic partnership in upstream energy development.

The meeting took place during Baku Energy Week, which has brought together global energy leaders, policymakers, and industry executives to discuss developments in the international energy sector.
