Azerbaijan and UK Discuss Expansion of Economic Cooperation Across Energy, Trade and Innovation Sectors

BAKU: Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has held talks with the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for Investment, Lord Stockwood, focusing on strengthening bilateral economic relations and expanding cooperation in key strategic sectors.

In a message posted on social media platform X, Minister Jabbarov said the discussions covered major directions for the development of economic ties between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, with emphasis on trade, energy security, green energy transition, innovation, and digitalization.

Both sides reviewed opportunities to deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest and explored measures aimed at increasing investment flows and enhancing long-term economic partnerships.

Officials highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in sustainable energy and technology-driven sectors, reflecting growing interest in diversifying economic engagement beyond traditional industries.

The meeting underscored ongoing efforts by both countries to strengthen bilateral relations and promote a more dynamic framework for economic and investment cooperation.
