Prince Harry to Visit UK Alone as Meghan and Children Stay Away from London

LONDON: Prince Harry will travel to the United Kingdom next week without his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The Duke of Sussex is scheduled to attend events marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham and undertake engagements with charities he supports. However, Meghan and the children will not accompany him to London due to ongoing security concerns.

According to the report, Prince Harry had originally hoped to bring his family to the UK, but unresolved issues surrounding their security arrangements led to a change in plans. While the family will not visit London, it has not been ruled out that they could join Harry during engagements outside the British capital.

The development comes after reports that the duke’s request for taxpayer-funded police protection during visits to the UK was denied, prompting concerns over the family’s safety. Harry’s security team has reportedly been exploring alternative arrangements, but none currently include a visit to London.

The planned trip had raised hopes of a possible reunion between King Charles III and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who have not seen their grandfather in person for four years. Reports indicate that the King had offered accommodation at a royal residence, although security concerns remain a key obstacle.

Prince Harry is expected to proceed with his official engagements in the UK, while discussions over future security arrangements for his family continue.
