Three Killed, Multiple Injured in Idaho Shopping Center Shooting; Gunman Among Dead

TWIN FALLS: Three people, including the suspected gunman, were killed in a shooting at a busy shopping area in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, while several others sustained injuries, authorities said. Police confirmed that the threat to the public had been neutralized and an investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the attack.

The shooting occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time near a newly opened In-N-Out Burger restaurant in a crowded commercial district. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where victims were treated before being transported to nearby hospitals. At least seven people were reported injured, with some in critical condition.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said the suspected shooter was among those killed and that there was no longer any danger to the community. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or the gunman as officials continue notifying family members.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic as gunfire erupted, with customers and employees fleeing for safety. Some witnesses reported seeing the attacker carrying what appeared to be an AR-style rifle before the shooting unfolded. The FBI has joined local law enforcement in assisting with the investigation.

Officials said investigators are interviewing numerous witnesses and examining evidence from the scene to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack. Idaho Governor Brad Little expressed condolences to the victims and their families, while local authorities urged the public to avoid speculation until the investigation is complete.
