RAWALPINDI — Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met a delegation from a US-based company providing services in the defence and critical infrastructure sectors at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The delegation was led by Robert Brett Velekevich. During the meeting, the participants discussed matters of mutual interest and developments in defence technology, ISPR said.
The meeting also covered potential areas of cooperation in defence equipment procurement, production and the enhancement of operational and industrial capabilities.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the importance of technological innovation in strengthening national security and maintaining stability, according to ISPR.
He also expressed interest in further expanding cooperation and institutional linkages in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting comes amid continued efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s engagement with international partners in defence technology, industrial capabilities and critical infrastructure.
The discussions focused on opportunities for greater cooperation while taking into account evolving trends in defence technology and the changing requirements of modern security environments.
