Fear and Uncertainty Grip Southern Lebanon as Israeli Occupation Deepens Divisions

BEIRUT: Residents living along the edge of Israel’s occupation zone in southern Lebanon are facing growing fear, insecurity, and social tensions as the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues to reshape daily life across the region.

According to local residents, Israeli forces maintain control over large areas of southern Lebanon and have barred the return of inhabitants to dozens of predominantly Shiite towns suspected of hosting Hezbollah activity.
