NFL Star Justin Herbert Announces Engagement to Singer Madison Beer

EL SEGUNDO: Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Madison Beer have announced their engagement, sharing the joyful news with fans through a romantic Instagram post featuring Herbert proposing on one knee. The post was captioned simply, “Meet my fiancé,” drawing widespread congratulations from across the sports and entertainment worlds.

Among those extending their best wishes were the National Football League (NFL), the Los Angeles Chargers organization, and singer Gracie Abrams, reflecting the couple’s growing popularity since they made their relationship public.

Herbert, 28, and Beer, 27, were first linked in August 2025 and have since made several public appearances together, including at Chargers games, Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers fixtures, and entertainment events. Beer also appeared in Herbert’s life off the field by featuring him in the music video for her song “lovergirl” earlier this year.

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has previously expressed support for Herbert’s relationship, joking about the quarterback missing part of the team’s voluntary offseason program to accompany Beer on her concert tour.

Herbert is preparing for his seventh NFL season with the Chargers as he continues his pursuit of postseason success, while Beer remains one of the music industry’s prominent young artists, having earned Grammy nominations and built a successful international career since rising to fame in 2012.
