Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has rejected a statement issued by the Afghan Taliban regime regarding the Angoor Adda incident, describing it as false and fabricated.
Pakistan said the Afghan Taliban’s false narrative about the incident reflects their deceptive conduct.
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Afghan Taliban forces carried out unprovoked firing and mortar shelling on civilians within Pakistani territory. The ministry said the Taliban regime’s unprovoked firing is a continuation of a pattern set by Indian directives and proxy elements.
The ministry stated that Pakistan’s security forces responded swiftly and forcefully to the Afghan Taliban aggression, destroying seven Taliban posts. It added that the Afghan Taliban also suffered heavy losses in both lives and equipment.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting further said that the unrepresentative Taliban regime is resorting to falsehoods in order to mislead its own people.
